Process Equipment

Klip has years of experience in manufacturing process equipment according to the most diverse design codes, such as ASME VIII Div.1, EN-13445 and Norsok. In this way, we have developed many different types of process equipment for all kinds of applications. The requirements and wishes differ per industry and customer, so the experience in developing process equipment has become very broad. But what exactly is process equipment and what scope of supply does Klip offer? We would be happy to tell you more about it.

Process Equipment - What is process equipment

What is process equipment?

Fixed Equipment

Process equipment, or process equipment, are the devices within a production process that actually take the work out of the hands of employees. It originated during the industrial revolution, when machines were developed that could, for example, process cotton into pieces of fabric. Previously, this was done by hand, but not after that. Today, process equipment also enables processes that cannot be done by human hands. Think, for example, of bringing about chemical reactions. So this equipment is actually the beating heart of a production process. It creates the possibility, based on the laws of nature, of making raw materials and energy products that we use in everyday life. Two types of process equipment can be distinguished:

First, there is fixed equipment, or stationary equipment. These generally have no moving parts and get this name from that. These include heat exchangers, boilers, storage tanks and pipelines, for example.

Rotating Exuipment

Unlike fixed equipment, rotating equipment has moving parts. Examples are pumps, compressors, engines or turbines. Klip does not make these, but they can be installed.

Delivery forms at Klip

Process equpment is used in virtually every manufacturing process. Without the equipment, logically, not much happens in a process. This makes the number of applications and the different types of equipment very diverse. Below are some examples of equipment Klip has developed to give you an idea of the possibilities.

Pressure vessels

For certain processes, it is important to keep gas or liquid at a certain pressure that is significantly different from the pressure offered by the outside air. With a pressure vessel, this becomes possible.

Reactors

When two substances interact, we call it a reaction. For some processes, it is necessary to trigger a reaction. This must also be done safely. Klip can make the working drawings and strength calculations for reactors.

Heat exchangers

A heat exchanger is used to transfer heat between two or more fluids. In this way, a heat exchanger can be used to both cool and heat. For example, a specific example of a heat exchanger that we can produce is the floating head exchanger.

Autoclaves

An autoclave is a sealed pressure vessel in which pressurized steam is used to sterilize the contents. In addition, autoclaves are also widely used in industry to vulcanize rubber, for example.

Industrial Colums

A column is an essential object for distilling certain liquids to separate the constituents. These fit on a laboratory table in their normal version, but an industrial column is many times larger. However, the operation remains similar.

Tanks

An industrial tank is designed to hold its contents neatly and safely. In certain cases, another change takes place in the tank, such as in post-settling tanks. The work involved in tank development therefore varies widely.

Process Equipment - distinguishing factor

The distinguishing factor of Klip B.V.

Klip distinguishes itself not only by manufacturing new process equipment but also, if required, by dismantling, overhauling or replacing the old installation, aligning it and preparing it for commissioning on site. Your advantage is that during fabrication we do not only start from the (old) drawing but also from the actual situation, so that the new equipment fits at once and can be put back into operation quickly.

Service

We are particularly strong when it comes to high-quality applications and customized solutions in single pieces or small series. When it comes to dimensions, we are very flexible; from (very) small to (very) large process equipment we have made in a wide variety of materials in our workshops. These include materials such as Duplex, Super Duplex, Titanium, Aluminum, Cunifer and 254 SMO. Naturally, we provide the necessary engineering and certification for this. You can therefore count on Klip for full service and peace of mind when developing your process equipment.
