Klip B.V. has years of experience in the prefabrication and assembly of various types of piping systems for just as many different types of applications. When it comes to the scope of projects, we are broadly applicable. We gladly commit ourselves to variations from a single pipe piece to the fabrication of piping for a complete factory. Always with the same passion and attention.

Pipework - Way of working KLIP

Our way of working

Our workshops for carbon steel and stainless steel are separate. Thereby, we have extensive experience when it comes to processing various types of materials. Our welders and welding processes are qualified for the common materials but also for more exotic materials. From thick-walled pipe to stainless steel piping, from super duplex to titanium and piping for a heat pump, we are happy to assist you with all your piping needs.

Prefabricated piping construction

Prefab means that as much of the required installation as possible is manufactured and assembled in our workshop. This creates several, complete pieces that still require a minimal number of connections or field welds during installation. Fabricating and assembling piping systems has been part of Klip’s core business for many years. Every time, we are proud when prefabricated piping systems are delivered ready to use; the result of years of experience and craftsmanship means that everything is right on delivery. This offers you many advantages. We can divide this into the following.

Pipework - Implementation

Fluent implementation and assembly

Our prefabricated solutions are designed to be easily and quickly assembled. Care is taken to ensure that components such as pipe spools are as complete as possible, minimizing assembly time at the customer’s site. The pieces only need to be connected or assembled and then the installation is ready for use. This makes the implementation and assembly of the installation on site smooth and fast. This in turn saves time and ensures that you can soon be up and running with the new pipes.

Greater efficiency

Shorter installation times, less rework, and rapid implementation naturally mean that less energy is required to put the whole system into operation. At the same time, this shortens lead times. Savings are made on the number of hours worked, the number of hours lost because processes are often at a standstill during installation and adjustments, and, of course, because you are paying for a total solution.

Pipework - Benefits

Various types of piping

At Klip, we offer virtually every type of piping system imaginable in prefabricated solutions. Whether it is a single gas or steam pipeline, or a completely new system, every challenge is brought to a successful conclusion in a secure manner. If you need a specific solution, you can always come to us.

Examinations, tests and post-treatments

Besides manufacturing pipework, we are also equipped to examine, treat and test it. You will of course receive the desired reports and certificates afterwards. Thus we can take care of the following matters for you:

Non-destructive testing

Depending, among other things, on the standards the product must meet, various methods are used for this. Non-destructive welding examination examines whether, and if so where, any faults in the welding of a steam pipe, for example, can be found so that they can be remedied before they cause problems.

Destructive testing

Destructive testing involves testing materials for their failure mode. As the term implies, after the test, the material is no longer usable as a structural element. Therefore, copies of the finished product are made for this purpose which serve as test objects.

Possitive Material Indentification (PMI).

Through PMI research, we verify that really the right materials have been used for the product.

Tensionless annealing

When metal has been worked, such as in welding, bending or cutting, stresses are created in the material. This can create undesirable situations when the material is put into service and the stresses are released uncontrollably. Therefore, the material is annealed, or heated, so that these stresses disappear. Then the material cools slowly so that no new stresses are created.

Pickling and passivation

Stainless steel has an important top layer that prevents it from rusting. After processing the steel, this layer is often no longer 100% reliable. Pickling it cleans it, so to speak, first with chemicals and then with water. Then after two days it is fine again. Passivation is a similar process, only then the product can be used again much sooner.

Internal and external preservation

In several types of metal structures, it is important that corrosion cannot affect the structure. Therefore, internal and external preservation prevents the material from corrosion in advance.

Pressing and leak testing

This is used to check for defects in a water or gas line, respectively. By jacking it is possible to check a water pipe for leaks. Leak tests are done on gas lines, among others. In this way, the reliability of the pipes can be guaranteed.

Bolt tensioning

Hydraulic tools are used to tighten bolts securely.

Drying and cleaning the pipes

When residue remains in the pipes, it can cause all kinds of adverse effects. This is why we offer the option of cleaning and drying pipes. They are then completely ready for the future.

Inspections and certification by a Notified Body.

We provide inspection and certification from a notified body, which is designated by the government and authorized to issue certification. In this way, quality remains guaranteed.
